Article VII
Committees
Section 1. Committee Appointment. The Board may each year appoint
standing
committees to advance the work of the Club in such matters as specialty
shows, obedience trials, trophies, annual prizes, membership and other
fields which may well be served by committees. Such committees shall
always be subject to the final authority of the Board. Special
committees
may
also be appointed by the Board to aid it on particular projects. Each
committee shall maintain records, minutes, budget and expenditures and
present them at a regular board meeting or any meeting specified by the
Board.
Section 2. Committee Appointment Termination. Any committee appointed
may be
terminated by a majority vote of the Board upon written notice to the
appointee; and the Board may appoint successors to those persons
whose
services have been terminated. All committees shall turn over all
records and properties to the newly appointed designee by June 1 or at
such
time at request by the Board.
Any
Committee or committee person may petition the Board in writing to
terminate the committee or committee persons activity.
Section 3. Committee Expenses. All committee expenses must have prior
approval
by
the Board of Directors, and must submit an updated budget and list of
expenditures by quarter.
